About the Role

The Director of Digital Marketing is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and implementing the company's digital marketing strategy. This role involves driving online brand presence and ensuring the successful execution of digital campaigns. The Director of Digital Marketing plays a critical role in aligning marketing efforts with business objectives, leveraging data and trends to make informed decisions, while ensuring the company's digital initiatives deliver measurable results.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee digital marketing campaigns across various channels including; SEO, paid search, social media, email, affiliate, direct mail and display advertising.
  • Manage the marketing specialist team.
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence and direct social media strategy to build brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
  • Oversee email marketing campaigns, including strategy, execution, and performance analysis.
  • Ensure the company website is optimized for user experience, conversion, and SEO.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Identify and build relationships with key industry influencers, partners, travel suppliers and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure all digital marketing activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Stay ahead of digital marketing trends and integrate new approaches to maintain a competitive edge over competitors.

About The Candidate

You are a results-driven professional, adept at navigating the evolving landscape of the cruise and travel industry. With a customer-first mindset, your strategic thinking harmonizes their needs with company objectives. Your data-driven approach ensures informed decision-making, and your expertise in campaign management spans from meticulous planning to flawless execution.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of successfully leading and executing digital marketing campaigns
  • Proficient in conducting A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Experience in the travel or cruise industry preferred
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Hands-on involvement in marketing on all social media channels (FB, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
  • Solid foundation in in using web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and deriving actionable insights from data
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (Atlas, Criteo, etc)
  • Competence in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Practical experience in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into marketing initiatives, enhancing data-driven decision-making and campaign efficiency
  • Strategically develop and optimize advertising budgets to maximize Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
  • Skilled in creating accurate forecasts to predict campaign performance and optimize marketing strategies
